Oxford Round Table Firework Display

The Oxford Round Table celebrates the demise of Guy Fawkes, raises money for charity and entertains the people of Oxford all in one fell swoop. This annual firework display takes place in South Park, which separates Headington from Cowley Road.

The display itself is carried out by Kimbolton Fireworks, a company started by Reverend Lancaster in his Oxford back garden. Now they have an impressive CV, including Hyde Park displays and the hand-over of Hong Kong.

The oldest and largest fireworks display in the area attracts people from all walks of life to huddle round the bonfire and to "oooh!" and "aaah!" at the spectacle that lights up the cold night sky. There is also a funfair after the display and plenty of refreshments to keep people warm.
