With its impressive perpendicular tower, the second-highest in England, Derby Cathedral has been dominating the local skyline since the 16th century. Look out for Robert Bakewell's famous wrought iron screen, which is so intricate that it appears like lacework.
Other features include the memorial to Bess of Hardwick and the Cavendish brasses.
The Cathedral Centre accross the road hosts an exhibition area and Treasury, as well as a coffee shop. The Irene Ackers garden there was planted to represent a journey through the life of Jesus.
