Chesterfield's popular local market takes a step back in time every July, as it takes on a medieval theme and offers shopping and entertainment for all the family.
Featuring a selection of commercial and charity stores selling bric-a-brac and the like, the day is filled with medieval re-enactments, fun from a court jester and games of chance, as well as a funfair for the children. A special tour of the town's landmark Crooked Spire Church is also on offer, and for a small fee you can enjoy the view of this beautiful city from the top of the tower.
