Yorkshire Dales National Park

Daily

The Yorkshire Dales National Park covers a collection of river valleys and hills in the North of Yorkshire and Cumbria. Famed for their beauty, the Dales offer visitors extensive options for walking, biking, caving and sightseeing.

The Dales are, for some, the epitomy of Englishness. The lush green valleys and rolling limestone hills are interspersed with moorland and dry stone walls and support Yorkshire's claim to be the "Garden of England".

The park itself contains five visitor centres, the Dales Countryside Museum, Bolton Abbey, Cautley Spout waterfall, numerous charming villages and the famous village of Wensleydale, home of the eponymous cheese.
